About the role

🎬 The Role
We are looking for an ambitious, target-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) based in Lebanon to lead cold outreach, seller prospecting, and top-of-funnel marketplace growth across multiple high-demand categories (including Beauty, Fashion, Collectibles, Gaming, and more).
As our client’s marketplace continues to evolve and launch new categories, you will act as the crucial first point of contact for prospective sellers, brands, and creators. Your main objective is to proactively identify, engage, and nurture potential sellers up until they are mature and ready enough to meet with dedicated Category Managers.
The primary KPI for this role is Qualified Meetings Booked with the Category Management team.

👤 The Responsibilities

Outbound Seller Prospecting: Identify, target, and reach out to target brands, boutique retailers, collectors, and digital creators across emerging categories (Beauty, Fashion, Gaming, Collectibles, etc.) via cold calls, emails, and social prospecting platforms.

Lead Qualification & Nurturing: Engage with prospective sellers, qualify their commercial potential, educate them on the marketplace value proposition, and systematically nurture them through the sales pipeline.

Meeting Booking & Hand-off: Book and coordinate qualified meetings between mature seller prospects and internal Category Managers for final onboarding and growth strategy alignment.

Category Trend Monitoring: Track regional retail, live-selling, and social commerce trends across the MENA region to identify prospective brand ecosystems and seller communities.

Pipeline & CRM Hygiene: Maintain structured records of outreach activities, prospect feedback, qualification statuses, and conversion metrics in the platform's CRM.

Feedback Loop: Partner closely with internal Category Management teams to share market feedback, seller objections, and emerging category insights to continually optimize outreach strategies.

🎓 The Skills & Competencies

1–3 years of experience in Outbound Sales, Business Development (BDR/SDR), or Seller Acquisition, ideally within e-commerce, digital platforms, or retail.

Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Arabic (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate persuasively with brand owners and sellers across the MENA region.

Category Affinity: Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for consumer trends across categories like Beauty, Fashion, Collectibles, Gaming, or Lifestyle.

High Sales Drive: A strong track record in cold prospecting, managing high-volume outbound pipelines, overcoming objections, and consistently achieving meeting-booking targets.

Communication & Persuasion: Excellent interpersonal, phone, and written communication skills with an ability to build trust and present platform benefits clearly.

Agility & Resilience: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment where new categories and features are introduced regularly.

Prior experience onboarding sellers or accounts for an E-Commerce Marketplace, Social Commerce, or Creator Platform.

Active familiarity with digital seller ecosystems, Instagram/TikTok brand accounts, and regional marketplace networks.

Personal experience or interest in buying, selling, or trading on e-commerce, live-shopping, or dynamic retail platforms.
