You will guide members through complex trading discussions, educate them on order types, trade scenarios, tax implications, and portfolio adjustments, and help them navigate market transactions with confidence. By blending deep technical trading knowledge with exceptional, human-centered service, the Trading Specialist empowers Facet members to understand how and why trading strategies impact their broader financial journey.
Key Responsibilities:

Complex Inquiry Resolution: Address and resolve elevated member inquiries regarding order status, trade discrepancies, cost basis adjustments, and corporate actions with clarity and empathy.

Collaboration & Strategy Execution:

Planner & Investment Team Partnership: Partner closely with Facet’s CFP® Financial Planners to evaluate member portfolios, discuss trade options, and align execution workflows with members' holistic financial plans.

Trade Workflow & Custodian Support: Facilitate and monitor trade requests, model adjustments, and rebalancing activities across custodian platforms (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity, Apex).

Subject Matter Expertise: Act as an internal trading authority for customer support and planning teams on managed account mechanics, direct indexing concepts, and multi-sleeve portfolio structures.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:

Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline member trading interactions, improve self-service education, and enhance internal trade escalation workflows.

Special Projects: Participate in investment operations initiatives, trading software enhancements, and new platform feature rollouts.

Requirements
Experience & Technical Skills:

2+ years of experience in client-facing trading support, brokerage operations, or investor services (experience with a major brokerage or tech-enabled RIA preferred).

Solid understanding of equity and ETF trading, option strategies, order routing, cost basis methods, tax-loss harvesting, and custodian transfer processes.

Proficiency with Order Management Systems (OMS), custodial platforms, and portfolio management/rebalancing software (e.g., Orion, Envestnet, Addepar, or similar).

Advanced computer & analytical skills, including strong proficiency in Excel and financial CRM/ticketing software.

Communication & Soft Skills:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to break down complex trading concepts into clear, jargon-free conversations for members.

Empathy and active listening skills, maintaining a patient, member-first mindset during high-volatility market events or complex inquiries.

Strong problem-solving ability with razor-sharp attention to detail and high accuracy under time-sensitive market conditions.

You will be trained on:
